Unofficial CyanogenMod 10.2 builds have been popping up after CyanogenMod team came up with the source code on github. And here’s another one from the XDA Forums; this time for the Samsung Galaxy S III I9300. The I9300 users can now have a taste of Android 4.3 on their device with this CM 10.2 ROM.

The build, of course if fast and smooth as the usual CyanogenMod builds, but do note that it still is in an experimental phase (though it can be used as a daily driver). You can have a try yourself if you know what you’re getting into.

See the instructions below to flash the ROM and get it running on your Galaxy S III I9300.

NOTE: Do this at your own risk. Proceed only if you really know what you are doing. Also, using Titanium backup to restore after flashing might give you problems; so it is advised not to do it.

1. Install a custom recovery. ( Tip : Install Any Custom Recovery in 30 Seconds [One Click Tool])

2. Download the CyanogenMod 10.2 ROM and Google Apps from the links given in the original thread at XDA.

3. Move the downloaded zip files to your memory card.

4. Boot into recovery.

5. Install CM 10.2 ROM and then Google Apps.

6. Factory reset your Galaxy S3 I9300 (don’t have to do it if you are moving from an earlier build of CyanogenMod) and reboot.

That’s it! CyanogenMod 10.2 (Android 4.3) will now be installed on your Galaxy S III I9300. Subscribe to our feed, follow us on twitter/Google+ or join us on Facebook for more interesting shares!
