Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 P7300, released back in November 2011 now has an update to ICS which is procurable through KIES. You can now get root on Android 4.0.4 ICS on Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 P7300. XDA senior member safariking has rolled out a package which includes a pre-rooted ROM with many other features and can be executed through ODIN.

This package by safariking has been rooted, deodexed and zipaligned. Developer safariking has also promised to release a custom recovery-flashable version in a short time.
