When Motorola Droid RAZR received an update of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, there were questions about rooting the device on it. Now root has been achieved for ICS on GSM and CDMA Droid RAZR. Rooting Motorola devices continues even though their bootloaders are locked forever.
This method, by XDA Forum member hacker812c, is gonna help a lot of users using Motorola Droid RAZR. This was what he said in the official forum post :
This method run in CDMA and GSM Razrā¦
This method run in all versions ICS 4.0.4 for Razr
This method run in all versions ICS BRAZIL and ICS Leaks
This method run in all versions ICS CHINA / 4.0.3. and 4.0.4
Unfortunately there is no one-click solution available at the moment, which doesn’t mean that this method is difficult, it is only gonna take some more time when compared to one-click methods. Users will have to root manually using either a Linux Terminal or a Windows Command Prompt.
