Soon after the release of official CyanogenMod 10.2 nightlies, some bug reports have also started to appear at various forums. The CM Team as usual has also started to roll out the bug fixes for the most common issues. In this post too, we have a manual fix for one among the few issues faced by the CM 10.2 users.

If you are a CyanogenMod user who updated from an earlier CM version to the very new CyanogenMod 10.2, then you must have definitely had problem with the “App is not installed” message while trying to open the phone dialer icon from the home screen. The issue is nothing much complicated and happens just because the dialer shortcut is not valid; its location was changed in CM 10.2.

How To Fix the ‘App Is Not Installed’ Error

Anyway, the CM Team in their Google Plus post has come up with a manual fix for this bug. The solution is quite simple, you’ll only need to press and hold the icon and swipe it off the screen to remove it. Then it’s only the matter of dragging the dialer icon from the app drawer and it’ll work well without any mess.

Hope your problem is solved. Feel free to drop down your queries as comments and we’ll be looking in to it. Follow us on witter or Google+ or join us on Facebook for more updates from the CyanogenMod community!
